Stop worrying about the future – just do it!

April 02, 2014

Have you ever had one of those sleepless nights? A night where you are tossing and turning, completely unable to catch your slumber? Thinking about your future and where you will be living? Or where you will be working? Wondering exactly what you will be doing with yourself in so many years time? At the time, it’s frustrating, but fear not, we have all been there at some point in our lives.

Spending time worrying is extremely normal, as it triggers you to do one thing: transition. I used to have the same sleepless nights, my mind constantly turning over with my brain in overdrive.

However, this worry triggered my transition; I have been where you are and I wanted to share my experiences, my story and my secrets on how to get yourself out of that rut and into powering ahead with your life.

Are you one of those people who can push the worry right out of your mind? Do you bury your head in the sand but every now and then succumb to that niggling feeling in the back of your mind that tells you that you need to get moving with something? You need to start to listen to that niggle!

Everybody hears those stories that tell the tale of the graduate who worked hard at a degree for years, but is now working as a retail assistant. Whilst there is nothing wrong with this choice of job, you don’t go to university for three or four years to work on a till for the rest of your life; don’t waste your education.

The fear factor is also another kicker and many of you will have racing minds, consisting of thoughts like “what if I don’t get a job?” or “will I have to move back home?” which is soon followed by the absolute dread of realising that you have spent at least £9k a year on getting an education that you think you might not use.

Thinking in this mentality is a downward spiral of negativity and doesn’t do you any favours whatsoever. Instead, you will feel lost and confused as to what exactly you should be doing and forcing you into a corner that makes you believe you are a failure. You will start to become a self fulfilling prophecy and before you know it, you’re five years down the line but still in the same place as you were those five years previous.

What would you say if I told you that I can plan it differently, so much so that you will completely leave all of the aforementioned in the past? I can make you an employable candidate from day 1 at university, rendering you completely desirable when year 3 is finished; you will be a head and shoulders above the rest and it’s not even hard. In fact, it’s totally easy.

If you are one of those students who have left it a late and procrastinated for a little moment too long, I can get you up to speed quickly; just by investing a little time into my resources, you will be top of the pile before you know it.  By developing your skills through my programme, you are giving yourself the opportunity to move into any career by simply utilising the transferable skills that you have and demonstrating confidence if you want to find out a little more click here.

Money cannot buy the feeling of having a real direction in your life and I know this from personal experience. Career management is not something that should ever be overlooked or dismissed.

I would love to hear your comments, what one thing are you going to do to get yourself back in the game?
