I was also elected to join the Council for the Career Development Institute representing Career Guidance for young people. I have completed consultancy work for Pearson’s Education in developing a careers product. I am also worked with Skills for Logistics as part of their Steering Committee to look at changing the perception of logistics and creating a strategy to promote this work to schools. I have been also been interviewed by Times Educational Supplement (Tespro) Pathfinder ‘The approach: Setting up your school’s own careers website’ published 6th July 2012 as well as publishing articles in the Independent School Magazine on careers. I provided guidance & comments for Bliss Magazine called ‘Making the Grade’ August 2013 with reference to students completing exams in A Level & GCSE (and how to overcome issues such ‘I think my exam paper was marked wrong’ and other such problems!)

Take a look at my presentation at the National Careers Show in London and Leeds 2013. It provides an insight into how schools and colleges can provide 24/7 access for careers for key decision makers including students, parents and teachers.
However I think my best success is the work I do with my students, whether they are looking for the next step in their career plan or if they need assistance in deciding what course, employment or career option would best suit them. I like to think my career guidance interviews are highly motivational and encourage people to ‘think outside of the box’. My role is to provide a signpost for students and to let them know there are a number of ways they can reach their goals. My best success is the feedback I gain from clients, so why not look at my recommendations page?
